FordPass, Ford’s Mobile App – One-Year Anniversary in the Philippines with Over 21,000 Owners Benefiting from the App

FordPass, Ford’s mobile application that provides customers with access to vehicle-specific content and support, is marking its first-year milestone since its launch in the Philippines in December 2022.

The FordPass app enhances the ownership experience by serving as a comprehensive one-stop platform, offering a range of functional and practical features designed for customer convenience.

To date, over 21,000 Next-Gen Ford vehicle owners are maximizing the features of FordPass. These include remote door lock & unlock, engine start & stop with pre-cooling, vehicle locator, and real-time vehicle status conveniently accessible within the app.

Customers also enjoy additional useful features such as the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor (IOLM) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) (if the vehicle is equipped). The IOLM tracks driving habits and calculates engine oil health, allowing users to change oil only when necessary. TPMS monitors real-time air pressure in the vehicle’s tires.

“We are delighted that our customers appreciate the valuable features of FordPass, enhancing the overall ownership experience,” said Mike Breen, Managing Director, Ford Philippines. “We are excited to introduce more features and further enhance the user interface, allowing more Ford owners to enjoy the benefits of a connected vehicle through FordPass.”

With the upcoming addition of Online Service Booking (OSB) to Ford’s service convenience initiatives, customers can anticipate OSB becoming available on the FordPass app in the future, further enhancing the Ford ownership experience.

FordPass is compatible with mobile devices running on Android 7.0 and above and iOS 14.0 and above. It can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store:

    The Side Tripper

“Make sure you don’t take any side trips,” warns Schumler, from a phrase in the 1993 American film Swing Kids. If you are someone who does not have time to lose, then it is better for you to stick to your main agenda, because there is something about side tripping that submerges the soul in experiences that sometimes make you hope that time would stand still, as the experiences they bring can be more impactful than the main trip itself. It is that free flowing agenda, an unexpected sleepover or a detour that has unintentionally brought pleasant surprises. You can live without it, like you can eat a cake without its icing, but your journey may not be as meaningful. If travel is the ‘best medicine for the heart’,* then for me, side trips are secret ingredients to the most memorable travels and other events that can happen in between or off the main route of one’s itineraries.
