Leading the range are the Kia EV5 and flagship Kia EV9, which combine advanced electric technology, everyday versatility, and comfort for work, family, and leisure. “World EV Day is a reminder that sustainable driving is rapidly transforming into the standard for modern Filipino roads,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “Our growing EV lineup, which includes the EV5 and EV9 as well as the upcoming EV3 and PV5, provides drivers with purpose-built electric technology and versatile space designed for their daily lives.”
The Kia EV5 is positioned as a versatile electric SUV for professionals, entrepreneurs, and active drivers, offering two 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 3.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. Its 88.1 kWh LFP battery and front motor deliver 217 PS and 310 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of up to 550 kilometers on a single charge. For larger families, the Kia EV9 offers three-row seating and premium comfort, including second-row Relaxation Seats with power adjustment, ventilation, and massage functions. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system produces 384 PS and 700 Nm, while its 99.8 kWh battery provides up to 505 kilometers of range and supports 350 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-to-80% charge in less than 30 minutes.
Kia Philippines is also preparing to expand its electric portfolio with the Kia EV3 and Kia PV5. The EV3 is scheduled to launch in the Philippines this September, bringing compact SUV practicality, electric mobility, and user-focused technology to Filipino drivers and potential first-time EV owners. The PV5, meanwhile, is set to arrive in October, with its cargo variant aimed at businesses, fleet operators, and commercial users seeking an electric mobility solution built around flexibility and utility. These upcoming models further strengthen Kia’s commitment to providing electric vehicles for different lifestyles and mobility needs.
Backing Kia’s growing EV lineup is ACMobility’s expanding charging ecosystem, with more than 200 charging locations across the Philippines. The network connects the Philippine EV Spine from Pagudpud in the north to General Santos City in the south, helping address one of the key considerations for prospective EV owners: convenient access to charging.
