Ford Philippines Elevates Parts Availability and Accessibility with Expanded Distribution Center

Ford Philippines is heightening its commitment to customer satisfaction with the inauguration of a new and larger parts distribution center in Calamba, Laguna. Covering an expansive area of over 13,000 square meters—double the size of its predecessor—the facility significantly enhances the overall ownership experience for Ford customers.

The increased storage capacity enables the center to house up to 100,000 vehicle parts, bolstering Ford Philippines’ capacity to promptly deliver essential components to its nationwide network of dealerships. This expansion translates into a streamlined experience for customers, ensuring that necessary parts are readily available with reduced lead times.

Featuring a total of eight inbound and outbound docks, the facility facilitates faster and smoother receiving and dispatch of vehicle parts, optimizing operational efficiency.

Moreover, the enlarged parts distribution center empowers Ford to offer same-day delivery to dealerships in Metro Manila and neighboring areas, alongside daily deliveries to Ford outlets across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Mike Breen, Managing Director of Ford Philippines, underscores the brand’s unwavering dedication to providing a next-generation ownership experience. He states, “With our new Ford parts facility now fully operational, both our dealers and customers will have better and faster access to parts. We are committed to instilling confidence and peace of mind in our customers through enhanced parts availability.”

The facility boasts modern infrastructure and is managed by DB Schenker, a global leader in logistics solutions and supply chain management, ensuring seamless operations and unparalleled service.

    The Side Tripper

“Make sure you don’t take any side trips,” warns Schumler, from a phrase in the 1993 American film Swing Kids. If you are someone who does not have time to lose, then it is better for you to stick to your main agenda, because there is something about side tripping that submerges the soul in experiences that sometimes make you hope that time would stand still, as the experiences they bring can be more impactful than the main trip itself. It is that free flowing agenda, an unexpected sleepover or a detour that has unintentionally brought pleasant surprises. You can live without it, like you can eat a cake without its icing, but your journey may not be as meaningful. If travel is the ‘best medicine for the heart’,* then for me, side trips are secret ingredients to the most memorable travels and other events that can happen in between or off the main route of one’s itineraries.
