Honda Car Philippines unveiled the highly anticipated new Honda Brio today, marking an exciting milestone in the country’s automotive market. Since its introduction in 2014, the Honda Brio has won the hearts of over 30,000 customers with its sporty small hatchback design, powerful yet fuel-efficient engine, advanced features, and superior ride comfort. Now in its second generation, this popular model has received even more enhancements to meet the diverse needs of first-time and alternative car buyers, who prioritize style, comfort, performance, exceptional value, and long-term reliability.

The exterior of the new Honda Brio has been revamped to exude even more style. The front grille now features a newly designed Piano Black RS Design with a larger grille opening, giving it a more striking appearance. LED headlights, newly updated fog lights, fog light garnish (RS), and LED daytime running lights (RS and V variants) further enhance the car’s aesthetics and functionality. The side profile boasts Crystal Black door mirrors with power folding and adjustable features, as well as RS Design Side Sill Lower Garnish (RS). At the rear, the new Brio showcases a tailgate spoiler, RS Design Rear Bumper Lower Garnish, and tail lights in the RS variants. Both RS variants feature black fabric seats with red accents, elevating the overall sporty feel of the cabin. Convenience features include speed sensing auto door locks (RS and V) and power windows with auto up/down for the driver’s window, available across all variants. In terms of in-car entertainment, the new Brio comes equipped with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen audio system across all variants. Additionally, the RS Black Top, RS, and V variants offer connectivity options such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB port, AM/FM, Android smartphone mirroring, and a 6-speaker audio setup (including additional two tweeters for RS variants) for a truly exhilarating audio experience. The V and S variants feature a 4-speaker audio setup.

Under the hood, the new Honda Brio retains its powerful 1.2-liter 4-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC engine, delivering a maximum power of 90 PS at 6,000 rpm and 119 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. The Side Tripper

“Make sure you don’t take any side trips,” warns Schumler, from a phrase in the 1993 American film Swing Kids. If you are someone who does not have time to lose, then it is better for you to stick to your main agenda, because there is something about side tripping that submerges the soul in experiences that sometimes make you hope that time would stand still, as the experiences they bring can be more impactful than the main trip itself. It is that free flowing agenda, an unexpected sleepover or a detour that has unintentionally brought pleasant surprises. You can live without it, like you can eat a cake without its icing, but your journey may not be as meaningful. If travel is the ‘best medicine for the heart’,* then for me, side trips are secret ingredients to the most memorable travels and other events that can happen in between or off the main route of one’s itineraries.
