With two race wins in the heats and a strong third-place finish in the final, Australian driver Joshua Rogers surged to the third spot in the drivers’ standings. Another Australian, Dayne Warren, also made his mark by clinching a quarter-final victory on the challenging Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Notably, Porsche Coanda Esports’ factory team climbed to second place in the team standings among stiff competition on the new simulation platform “Rennsport.”
Taking on the 7.004-kilometer Grand Prix circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Porsche Coanda Esports showed their determination following a three-week break. Their commitment paid off, as all four of the team’s drivers advanced in their digital Porsche 911 GT3 R race cars by securing victories in the “knockout” races.
Joshua Rogers, in particular, continued his stellar performance. He secured his 22nd ESL R1 race win, taking first place in the semi-final. Dayne Warren showcased his skills with a remarkable rise through the field in the semi-final and managed to finish in second place.
In the final, Rogers positioned himself well but ultimately took third place, missing out on an opportunity to overtake the leaders, Kevin Siggy and Sebastian Job. Dayne Warren, starting from the back of the grid, secured seventh place in the final.
With eight heats scheduled for the ESL R1 Fall Series, Porsche Coanda Esports is making substantial progress in the team and drivers’ standings. The Major Final is scheduled for two weeks later in Jönköping, Sweden, where significant prize money of 40,000 US dollars awaits the winners in both the team and drivers’ standings.
