Ford Philippines Brings Ford Island Conquest to Davao and Cagayan de Oro This September

Ford Philippines is set to bring its popular test drive roadshow, Ford Island Conquest (FIC), to Davao and Cagayan de Oro this September. The event kicks off in Davao City from September 13 to 15, 2024, at SM Lanang Premier’s Mall Atrium, showcasing popular Ford models like the Territory, Everest, Ranger, Ranger Raptor, and Bronco. Attendees will have the chance to test drive the Territory, Everest, Ranger, and Bronco on both regular roads and a specially-designed track to experience the vehicles’ performance and features.

Following the Davao event, the FIC will head to Cagayan de Oro from September 20 to 22, 2024, at Limketkai Center. A similar line-up of Ford vehicles will be available for viewing and test driving, offering participants an opportunity to explore the Territory, Everest, Ranger, and Bronco in action. The CDO leg will also feature a special driving course, allowing visitors to fully experience the handling and driver-assist features of Ford’s latest models.

In addition to the immersive test drive experience, Ford Philippines offers exclusive perks to participants. Customers who test drive will receive a P5,000 discount on a Ford vehicle purchase, while those who make reservations are eligible for a P20,000 cash discount and a chance to win up to P100,000 in additional discounts through the Pick-a-Prize promotion. Other prizes include cash discounts, accessories packs, fuel vouchers, and more. The event is open to the public, with free admission from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

    The Side Tripper

“Make sure you don’t take any side trips,” warns Schumler, from a phrase in the 1993 American film Swing Kids. If you are someone who does not have time to lose, then it is better for you to stick to your main agenda, because there is something about side tripping that submerges the soul in experiences that sometimes make you hope that time would stand still, as the experiences they bring can be more impactful than the main trip itself. It is that free flowing agenda, an unexpected sleepover or a detour that has unintentionally brought pleasant surprises. You can live without it, like you can eat a cake without its icing, but your journey may not be as meaningful. If travel is the ‘best medicine for the heart’,* then for me, side trips are secret ingredients to the most memorable travels and other events that can happen in between or off the main route of one’s itineraries. Welcome to Side Tripper, a collection of photographs and blogs about the many side trip adventures of our family and friends. *Source: The Global Commission on Aging and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, in partnership with the U.S. Travel Association (Los Angeles Times, December 17, 2013 by Chris Erskine)
