By The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) is set to hold the 14th Philippine EV Summit (PEVS)from October 22 to 24, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City. Unveiled in time for World EV Day on September 9, the summit carries the theme “Driving ASEAN Forward: Building an Integrated Electric Mobility Ecosystem” and will run from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. The event comes at a pivotal period for the Philippine EV industry, with electrified vehicle sales more than doubling in 2026 despite a decline in overall new-vehicle sales, while the national government has set a target of 50 percent EV penetration on Philippine roads by 2040.
EVAP President Willy Q. Tee Ten said the industry has moved beyond simply demonstrating that electric vehicles can work in the Philippines and is now focused on developing the broader ecosystem needed to support mass adoption. PEVS 2026 will bring together key players across the electric mobility value chain, allowing visitors to experience the latest EV models through test drives, compare electric two-wheelers and e-tricycles with four-wheel vehicles, and explore charging solutions ranging from home installations to large-scale industrial and fleet applications. Banking, financing, and insurance partners will also be on hand, while policy experts, including representatives from the Department of Energy (DOE), will discuss the regulatory roadmap shaping the country’s EV market.
The summit’s ASEAN-focused theme reflects the Philippines’ role in regional activities this year and emphasizes the importance of cooperation across the region in advancing electric mobility. According to Tee Ten, the country’s EV ecosystem is being developed not only for the Philippine market but as part of an ASEAN region of nearly 700 million people, with discussions expected to cover standards, manufacturing, and policies that can accelerate EV adoption across borders. PEVS 2026 will therefore serve as a platform for industry stakeholders to explore opportunities for a more connected and integrated regional electric mobility ecosystem.
PEVS 2026 will feature ACMobility Holdings Inc., the AutoHub Group of Companies, Toyota Motor Philippines, and the Department of Energy, alongside exhibitors and partners spanning vehicles, charging, insurance, and technology.
